The 2015 Cricket World Cup was the 11th Cricket World Cup in cricket history, the quadrennial world Cricket championship for national Cricket teams organized by ICC. jointly hosted by Australia and New Zealand from 14 February to 29 March 2015. It was the second time that  Australia and New Zealand staged the competition, the first being in 1992, and the second time that it was held in Australia continent.

fourteen national teams advanced through qualification competitions to join the host nation in the final tournament. A total of 49 matches were played in 14 venues located in as many host cities across Australia and New Zealand. In Australia staging 26 games at grounds in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney while New Zealand hosted 23 games in Auckland, Christchurch, Dunedin, Hamilton, Napier, Nelson and Wellington.  

In the final, Australia defeated New Zealand by 7 wickets to win their fifth ICC Cricket World Cup.
